Privacy policy
What personal data we process when you visit this website or write to us, and what rights you have. The German version is the legally binding one.
In brief
This website sets no cookies, uses no tracking or analytics services and loads no content from third-party servers. We even serve the fonts ourselves.
Personal data is only processed when your browser requests pages (server log files) and when you write to us or call us. We run the website and email on our own servers in Germany.
Controller
The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
phase15 GmbHBächenstr. 6

You can reach us at this address with any questions about data protection.
Hosting
Our website and email run on servers we rent from Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. The servers are located in data centres in Germany.
Hetzner provides the hardware and network access and only processes data on our behalf. We have a data processing agreement with Hetzner pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. No data is transferred to countries outside the European Union.
Visiting the website
When you open a page, your browser necessarily transmits data to our server. The web server records the following in a log file:
- the IP address of the requesting device,
- the date and time of the request,
- the requested address, the request method and the protocol used,
- the response status code and the amount of data transferred,
- the address of the page you came from (referrer), if your browser sends it,
- the identifier of your browser and operating system (user agent).
We need this data to deliver the pages, find errors, and detect and fend off attacks on the server. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and stable operation of the website. We do not analyse the data for other purposes, create user profiles or combine it with other data.
Log files are deleted automatically after 14 days. We keep individual entries longer only if they are needed to investigate a specific security incident, and only until it has been resolved.
Encryption
The connection to this website is encrypted with TLS. You can tell by the “https://” in your browser’s address bar.
Contact by email or phone
If you send us an email or call us, we process your email address or phone number, your name if you give it, and your request in order to deal with it and reply to you. We do not record phone calls.
If your message concerns an order or an existing contract, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. In all other cases it is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is answering enquiries.
We delete this data once your request has been dealt with. The exception is emails that we must keep as business correspondence under German commercial and tax law (Section 257 HGB, Section 147 AO); retention periods of six or ten years apply to these.
Cookies and storage on your device
This website sets no cookies and does not otherwise store information on your device or read it from there. We therefore do not need your consent under Section 25 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG), and we do not show a cookie banner.
navrelay
This policy covers the public pages of www.phase15.de. Customer access to navrelay is governed by the agreements we have made with our customers.
Your rights
You have the right
- to obtain information about the data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
- to have incorrect data corrected (Art. 16 GDPR),
- to have your data erased (Art. 17 GDPR),
- to have processing restricted (Art. 18 GDPR),
- to receive your data in a common, machine-readable format (Art. 20 GDPR).
A short email to info@phase15.de is enough.
Right to object
Where we process your data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). We will then stop processing the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
Right to lodge a complaint
If you believe that we are not processing your data lawfully, you can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg.
Other information
You are under no statutory or contractual obligation to provide us with personal data. Without the technically necessary connection data, however, we cannot deliver the website to you, and without your email address or phone number we cannot reply to you.
We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling (Art. 22 GDPR).
We update this policy when the website or the law changes. The version published here is the one that applies.
